    Delivery partnership · Native mobile

    A customer app is part
    of a much larger system.

The Cell C app gives mobile subscribers access to account balances, recharges, linked numbers, and account services. Abantu Digital led frontend architecture and delivery as a delivery partner to Teraflow on the Cell C programme, from March 2024.

    Context

Everyday actions, complex systems behind them.

Checking a balance or topping up may look simple in an app. Each journey depends on the wider product, its data, service rules, and integrations working together. The engineering challenge is to make those tasks clear for customers while respecting the behaviour of the systems behind them.

    Role

    Frontend architecture and delivery.

Abantu led frontend architecture and delivery as part of the Teraflow delivery partnership on the Cell C programme, from March 2024. Our work focused on the customer-facing mobile experience and the engineering needed to deliver it within a larger telecommunications environment.

    Product

    Account services on mobile.

The published app supports balance checks, recharges and top-ups, linked numbers, and account and settings controls. It is available on iOS and Android.

    Lesson

Understand the product before changing it.

In a complex customer product, responsible engineering starts with understanding what the system does, what customers depend on, and how a change can affect related journeys. That context makes it possible to improve the experience without treating the app as an isolated piece of code.
